Founded in 1889 (Meiji 22). A sake brewery located in Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan's top producer of "Yamada Nishiki". "Aoi" was named after the crest of Matsuo Taisha Shrine in Kyoto, which is revered as the number one sake brewing god in Japan. Using local sake rice, we aim to make sake that makes the most of the rice's flavor. Our pure rice sake made from 100% Yamada Nishiki is full-bodied and has a lingering aftertaste. We have also been a member of the "Long-term Aged Sake Research Group" for 35 years, and have been working on aging sake. We won a silver award at the International Wine Challenge, the world's largest sake tasting event, in 2023. We would like to continue to spread the deliciousness of aged sake to the world.
