The brewery is located in the commercial and cultural facility "Lake Scuola" in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture. As an extension of the koji shop, they are particular about brewing doburoku, which is made by drinking the whole rice, and they handcraft it using local organically farmed rice and underground water from Mt. Ibuki that is pumped up inside the brewery. The paper cutout on the front label, "The Fox, the Guardian of the Rice Fields," was created by Hayakawa Teppei, who lives at the foot of Mt. Ibuki.
