The brewery is located in "Lake Skole," a commercial and cultural facility in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture. As an evolved form of koji (fermented rice) brewing, they are committed to brewing doburoku (unrefined sake) using whole rice, and handcraft it using locally grown, naturally farmed rice and groundwater from Mount Ibuki drawn on-site. The paper cutout on the front label, depicting a fox, the guardian deity of the rice fields, is the work of Teppei Hayakawa, who lives at the foot of Mount Ibuki.
