This brand is exclusive to the Nihonshu Ni Ni Sake subscription service. It was released in February 2024 in limited quantities in collaboration with Nanbu Bijin, and is now available for special sale in collaboration with Sake World. Nanbu Bijin is a sake brewery founded in 1902 in Ninohe City, Iwate Prefecture. The company and brand names come from the fact that the brewery was located in the Nanbu domain (Nanbu region) during the Edo period, and that the light-tasting sake is likened to a beautiful woman. They mainly use sake rice grown locally in Iwate Prefecture, and in addition to making high-quality sake that emphasizes local production, exporting and submitting to overseas contests, they are also working on new initiatives such as having artificial intelligence (AI) learn and pass on the know-how of Nanbu Toji sake brewing.
