"Takesen" is a local sake brewery founded in 1702 (Genroku 15). "Take" comes from the clear waters of the Maruyama River, Take no Kawa, and "Izumi" comes from the fact that the ancestors were from Kunidajime Village in Izumi (now Tajime Town, Kishiwada City, Osaka Prefecture). We chose this name as a sign of our gratitude to the region and our respect for our ancestors. With the belief that "even a single grain of rice has infinite power," we brew sake that brings out the flavor of each and every grain of rice and makes meals more delicious. Takesen's concept is "warm sake that matures while eating." We are a brewery that produces all pure rice using only local rice, rice, and rice koji.
