"Chikusen" is a local sake brewery founded in 1702 (Genroku 15). The name "Chikusen" comes from the fact that it uses the clear waters of the Maruyama River, Takenokawa, and "Sen" comes from the fact that the brewery's ancestors were from Tajime Village in Izumi Province (present-day Tajime-cho, Kishiwada City, Osaka Prefecture). The name was chosen to express gratitude to the community and respect for the ancestors. With the belief that "even a single grain of rice has infinite power," the brewery carefully extracts the deliciousness of each grain of rice and brews sake that enhances the flavor of meals. The concept of Chikusen is "sake that is aged and served warm with food." It is a brewery that produces 100% pure rice sake using only locally grown rice and rice koji.
