This sake is brewed according to the Onmyodo calendar (old calendar), which is based on the phases of the moon and was once used in agricultural cultivation. Its creation stemmed from a connection with the Tensha-gu Tsuchimikado Shinto Headquarters, which inherits the astronomical lineage directly descended from the Onmyoji Abe no Seimei, as Obama Brewery's renowned sake "Wakasa" was used there. Using Yamada Nishiki rice from Obama, the initial steaming was done on an auspicious day when Tensha-nichi and Tenon-nichi coincided, and all subsequent processes, including brewing, pressing, and pasteurization, were carried out on a full moon day or an auspicious Ichiryu Manbai-bi day. The taste is refreshing, easy to drink, and has a well-balanced deliciousness. The product name "pentagram" is a symbol of the Yin-Yang Five Elements theory, and it is known that Abe no Seimei used this crest. The bottle design, the shide (paper streamers), and the paulownia wood box with its delicate cuts are all unique. It won the highest award, the Platinum Award, and the Best Design Award at the "Milan Sake Challenge 2023," Italy's largest sake competition. A calendar specially made by Tensha-gu Shrine is included; limited to only 300 copies.
