This sake is crafted according to the lunar calendar of Onmyodo, a system based on the waxing and waning of the moon, which was also used in agricultural cultivation. Its creation stems from the fact that Obama Sake Brewery's famous sake "Wakasa" was used at the Tensha Shrine Tsuchimikado Shinto Headquarters, which inherits the astronomy lineage of the onmyoji (magician) Abe no Seimei. Made with Obama-grown Yamada Nishiki rice, the first steaming took place on the auspicious day of Tensha and Ten'on. The subsequent brewing, fermentation, pasteurization, and other processes were carried out on the full moon and the auspicious day of Ichi-gō-manbai. The sake's flavor is refreshing, easy to drink, and well-balanced. The "pentagram" in the product name is a symbol of the Yin-Yang and Five Elements theory, and Abe no Seimei is known to have used this crest. The bottle design, paper streamers, and the delicately carved paulownia wood box are also unique. The sake won the highest Platinum Award and Best Design Award at the Milan Sake Challenge 2023, Italy's largest sake competition. It also comes with a calendar made by Tensha Shrine, and is limited to 300 pieces.
