Daruma Masamune (Shiraki Kosuke Shoten) was founded in 1835 (Edo period). It was founded the same year as Ryoma Sakamoto and the famous historical drama "Atsuhime" were born, and has been operating a sake brewery in Gifu ever since. It began brewing aged sake in the 1960s. When major, inexpensive sake brands began to enter the market, the sixth generation owner decided to differentiate himself by competing with aged sake. Even "aged sake" takes years, even decades, to produce. For over 50 years, through trial and error, we have staked our entire company's future on aged sake, and have continued to work tirelessly as a company. Thanks to this, our efforts have been successful. Today, aged sake has become our flagship product, enjoyed by people in Japan and overseas.
