Daruma Masamune (Shiraki Kosuke Shoten) was founded in the 6th year of the Tenpo era (Edo period). It was founded in the year that Ryoma Sakamoto and the famous drama "Atsuhime" were born, and has been operating a sake brewery here in Gifu ever since. It was in the 1960s that the company started making aged sake. When major cheap sake brands started to enter various regions, the sixth generation decided to "compete with aged sake" in order to differentiate itself. Even "aged sake" takes years, even decades, to make. For over 50 years, through trial and error, the company has staked its entire fortunes on "aged sake" and continued to make strenuous efforts as a company. Thanks to you, the initiative was a success. Currently, aged sake has become the company's main product, and it is available to people in Japan and overseas.
