Founded in 1720 (during the Kyoho era of the Edo period), the company has been producing dry sake for a long time. The dry sake that they have been particular about since their founding is loved by locals as "Oita no Onikoroshi". The meaning of "onikoroshi" is that it is a dry sake that can even drive away demons, and that it removes the evil thoughts that lurk within humans. The label depicts Shoki, the god of protection from epidemics, driving away a demon. If you want to drive away the demons in your heart or feel refreshed after drinking it, please try toasting with "Onikoroshi".
