Founded in 1753 in Toyomura Noda (now Sabae City) in Fukui Prefecture, the company brews sake using only rice grown in Fukui Prefecture, and is particular about the local climate. Their signature brand, "Kasoku," was chosen to commemorate the marriage of Emperor Taisho, and is named after the words of farewell to the bride and groom, "Kasoku no Ten," meaning "we are wed." Although they only use Gohyakumangoku rice from Fukui Prefecture, they offer a variety of flavors. Since 2020, they have been actively producing sparkling sake made using their own unique method, as well as products made using special methods. Their appeal is in their originality, as they are made with a free imagination, unconstrained by traditional methods.
