Founded in 1903, "Sonno" was released in 1933. It was then established as the Sonno Brewery's brand. During the Heisei era, when sake sales were sluggish and sake breweries across the country were caught up in the trend, they found a way forward by focusing on "local" sake brewing. They developed a new brand made with local rice and local brewers, purely for the sake they love. They have further evolved their mainstream brand "Sonno," continuing their quest for authentic flavor. They aim to inherit a historic brand and never stagnate, providing sake that suits the new era.
