Founded in 1893, Kamiyui Brewery is the only sake brewery located in Kato City. Using Yamada Nishiki rice harvested locally in Kato City and soft brewing water drawn from the brewery's own well, they brew a light, smooth sake with a smooth taste. The microorganisms cultivated at the brewery, which has been in business for over 120 years, and the techniques passed down from skilled master brewers, create the unique flavor of Kamiyui. Sake has long been a part of the history of the region, alongside its food and traditional culture. Kamiyui Brewery has continued to pass on its traditions while flexibly identifying the trends of the times, as it always has been.
