Founded in 1893, this is the only sake brewery located in Kato City. They use Yamada Nishiki rice harvested locally in Kato City and soft brewing water pumped from their own well to brew light, easy-to-drink sake. The microorganisms cultivated at the brewery, which has been in business for over 120 years, and the techniques passed down from skilled toji brewers create the unique flavor of Kamiyui. Sake has been a part of the history of the region's food and traditional culture since ancient times. Kamiyui Sake Brewery has been and will continue to be flexible in identifying the trends of the times while passing on traditions.
