Founded in 1893, it is the only sake brewery located in Kato City. Using Yamada Nishiki rice harvested locally in Kato City and soft brewing water drawn from its own well, they brew a light and refreshing sake with a gentle taste. The microorganisms cultivated in a brewery that has been operating for over 120 years, and the techniques passed down from skilled master brewers, create the unique character of Kamiyui sake. Sake has a long history intertwined with the local food and traditional culture. Kamiyui Sake Brewery has always been, and will continue to be, flexible in its approach to the times while carrying on tradition. The brand name "Toryu Nada" is taken from a scenic spot near the brewery.
