Founded in 1753 in Ibaraki Prefecture by a merchant from Omi, Shiga Prefecture, our current main brand, "Kyo no Yume," was named after the essay "Kyo no Yume, Osaka no Yume" by Junichiro Tanizaki, a writer who was close friends with the 8th generation owner. We currently brew a wide range of sake, from Daiginjo to regular sake. Our sake is brewed to be slightly dry, making it suitable for drinking with meals, and by minimizing filtration, you can enjoy its fruity aroma and umami flavor.
