Located in Katano, on the border of Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara, this small sake brewery has been handed down through generations since the late Edo period, producing approximately 500 koku of sake per year. Approximately 90% of our total production is designated-name sake, and of that, 40% is released as "undiluted sake," demonstrating our commitment to brewing unpasteurized sake. Thanks to the abundant underground water of the Ikoma Mountains, high-quality sake rice, primarily from the Kansai region, and the outstanding teamwork of our craftsmen and employees, led by our master brewer, Nanbu Hamada Yoshihide, we have won six awards at the National New Sake Tasting Competition (2002-2018 and 2020), and the prestigious "Gold Award" 11 times (2005-2017, 2019, 2021, and 2024). (As of April 1, 2024) Our motto is to deliver our sake in the best possible condition, from production to storage, bottling, product management, and shipping.
