The brewery was founded in 1753, when Echizen Maruoka feudal lord Arima Takazumi ordered the brewery to revive the legendary Muromachi period sake "Echizen Toyohara no Sake" in this area. The 11th generation owner is committed to the local area, and in the rice fields next to the brewery, he grows his own "Yamada Nishiki" rice, which he fell in love with for its flavor, using the same water system used to brew sake. Using this rice, water pumped up from 200 meters underground, drilled through a 150-meter-thick bedrock, and a koji-making machine developed by the 10th generation owner, they brew sake that will accompany you on any day and touch your heart. They hope that this sake will bring each person's individual joys, small happiness, and joy in their daily lives.
