Located at the northern end of the Kanto Plain, Sano City in Tochigi Prefecture is a town of water, greenery, and the Manyo era. Founded in 1673, this brewery is the oldest in Tochigi Prefecture. Using Sano City's high-quality water, selected as one of Japan's 100 best waters, and rice suitable for sake brewing, cultivated by brewers in their own paddy fields, the brewery produces handmade sake in small batches, using traditional methods to carefully select the rice, water, and brewing process, without relying on machinery. The sake has a soft flavor and a rich, refined, and elegant aroma.
