We are located in Tomita Doi, at the confluence of the Jindai River and Tomita River, which flow at the foot of Mt. Eigen. Founded in 1823 by the fourth generation owner, Kunigoro, we have been dedicated to sake brewing ever since, with the 11th generation running the business to this day. The name of our sake, "Kotobuki," was originally called "Kotohogi," a wish for long life, and was used at celebrations and ceremonies. Locally, our sake is known as "Tsuru Kame Kotobuki" (Crane, Turtle, and Longevity) due to its label design, and we have long enjoyed the patronage of sake lovers.
