Kintora Sake Brewery's "Tohen" began production in 2012 as a local love project to create a new sake that Nagoya could be proud of. Everything from the rice and yeast to the label was carefully selected, and this masterpiece was born from the culmination of traditional sake brewing techniques that have originated in the Echigo style and been honed by Nagoya's history and climate, along with the passion of young brewers for the next generation. As the name "Tohen" implies, representing change and innovation, we will continue to produce "Nagoya's new sake" with the desire and determination to evolve year after year, from this year to next year, and from next year to the year after.
