Since its founding in 1877, the sake brand "Chikubushima" has been loved by a wide range of people, including merchants, boatmen, laborers, and fishermen, who supported Kaizu's economy, and continues to be enjoyed by many customers in the area today. Currently, with the goal of "Tradition and Challenge," the brewery is undergoing a refreshment, renovation, and renewal in order to spread its wings even wider. The brewery is working to create a new sake that will transcend time and space and be loved by many. Based on carefully selected local Shiga rice, Yoshida Sake Brewery's traditionally used Kanazawa yeast, which produces a robust flavor, and the clear Chiuchi River, which flows north of the lake, create a mellow and deep flavor.
