Since its founding in 1877, the sake brand "Chikubushima" has been loved by many people, including merchants, boatmen, laborers, and fishermen, who supported Kaizu's economic activity, and is still enjoyed by many customers in the area today. Currently, with the goal of "tradition and challenge," the brewery is being refreshed, renovated, and updated in order to spread its wings even wider. They are working on creating new sake that will be loved by many people across time and space. Based on carefully selected local Shiga rice, Yoshida Sake Brewery's traditionally used Kanazawa yeast, which produces a strong flavor, and the clear Chiuchi River that flows through the north of the lake, create a mellow and deep flavor.
