Since its founding in 1877, Chikubushima has been a beloved sake brand in Kaizu, supported by merchants, boatmen, laborers, fishermen, and many others who supported the local economy. It continues to be enjoyed by many customers in the area today. Currently, with the goal of "inheritance and challenge," we are refreshing and updating our brewery to spread our wings even further. We are working to create a new sake that will be loved by many people across time and space. Based on carefully selected local Shiga Prefecture rice, the Kanazawa yeast that Yoshida Brewery has traditionally used to produce a robust flavor, and the clear waters of the Shiriuchi River flowing through Kohoku create a mellow and deep taste.
