Seko Sake Brewery is located in Koka-cho, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, the birthplace of the Koka-ryu ninja. Founded in 1869, the brewery has continued to produce sake using local rice and water, emphasizing the "earthy" terroir. As a land that was once the bottom of Lake Biwa in ancient times, it is blessed with clayey soil known locally as "zurinko," which has long produced high-quality rice and is known as a major rice-producing area in the Kansai region. The water source is the groundwater from the Suzuka Mountains, and the harsh winter cold makes it an ideal location for sake brewing, a place that has a long history. Please enjoy the traditional taste produced using methods passed down from ancient times.
