Seko Sake Brewery is located in Koka Town, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, the birthplace of the Koka-ryu Ninja. Founded in 1869, the brewery has continued to brew sake using local rice and water, a so-called "earthy" terroir. As the ancient bottom of Lake Biwa, the area is blessed with clayey soil known locally as "zurinko." It has long produced high-quality rice and is known as a rice-producing region in the Kansai region. The brewery's water source is underground water from the Suzuka Mountains, and the harsh winters make it an ideal location for sake brewing, creating a rich history. Enjoy the traditional flavors created using techniques passed down since ancient times.
