Seko Sake Brewery is located in Koka-cho, Koka City, Shiga Prefecture, the birthplace of the Koka-ryu Ninja. Founded in 1869, the brewery has been making sake using local rice and water, focusing on the so-called "plain" terroir. As the land was once the bottom of Lake Biwa in ancient times, it is blessed with clayey soil known locally as "zurinko," and has produced high-quality rice since ancient times, making it known as a rice-producing area in the Kansai region. The brewery has a long history in this area, where the water source is underground water from the Suzuka Mountains, and the harsh winters make it the perfect place for sake brewing. Please enjoy the traditional flavors made using techniques handed down since ancient times.
