Story
Eikun [Saito Sake Brewery]Saito Sake Brewery was founded in 1895 in Kyoto, the heart of sake brewing. The ancestors of the Saito family moved here from Senshu around the time of the Genroku era and ran a kimono business under the name Izutsuya Ihei. They inherited and protected this long-established business for eight generations before switching to sake brewing. At the time, the company's trademarks included Yanagi Masamune and Otaka, but to commemorate the enthronement of Emperor Taisho, they changed to "Eikun". Since then, they have carefully nurtured this brand, and today they send out fine sake all over Japan and overseas, receiving high praise from all over the world. They have won the gold medal at the National New Sake Tasting Competition for 14 consecutive years, and their high brewing techniques have been recognized.
