Product description
This Junmai Daiginjo sake is brewed exclusively with Kuranohana, a sake rice suitable for brewing, cultivated locally in Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture. It features a gorgeous aroma reminiscent of white flowers and pears, a smooth mouthfeel, and a harmonious balance of sweetness and umami. Pairing it with salty foods such as prosciutto enhances its sweetness, while creamy textures like liver pâté or foie gras create a smooth, synchronized mouthfeel, allowing you to enjoy both elements. For the best experience, lightly chill the sake and serve it in a thin wine glass or similar delicate glassware.

Story
Soutenden [Otokoyama Honten Co., Ltd.]
Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, is one of Japan's leading port towns. Otokoyama Honten has been brewing sake here for over 100 years. "We want to express the beauty of the blue skies and oceans of Kesennuma, a place blessed with abundant nature and ingredients, through our sake. We want people to enjoy high-quality seafood together with sake." With this in mind, we developed "Soutenden." We brew it with the inherited skills of the Nanbu Toji, aiming for a clear taste reminiscent of the blue skies and oceans, and a clean sake quality without impurities that complements seafood.
