Story
Harada [Hatsumomiji Co., Ltd.]
Founded in 1819 (Bunsei 2), Hatsumomiji is a sake brewery in Yamaguchi Prefecture that is celebrating its 205th anniversary this year. With the catchphrase "Drink the seasons of Japan," the brewery aims to make sake that allows its brewers to enjoy the seasons reflected in the sake. All of the rice used in the brewing process is from Yamaguchi Prefecture. This is a pure rice sake made with local ingredients, made with care from Yamaguchi. In order to always deliver a freshly pressed taste, the brewery practices four-season brewing, brewing sake all year round. Although sake brewing was temporarily suspended in 1985, it resumed in 2003, and started the brand "Harada" out of a desire to cherish the connection with its ancestors.
